"An eternity of happiness" per a local Cosmologist. Leaning into life beyond the doomscroll.
Walked to the library and learned the hard way that it can be both foggy and very rainy at the same time. The leaves remain gorgeous and GF/DF banana bread was a relative success. Recipe below.

I'm proud to report that we have many in Seattle. There was even an art one in my prior neighborhood. Here are some fun ones. :)

Can confirm. My friend and I rented them a while back, in an area with established trails and they are excellent.

Obligatory stop when showing around out of town friends. Yes, I "make" everyone hike when they visit hehe.

I don't know. Doesn't everyone have these kinds of unhinged culinary ingredient searches? (No they will not be mixed together jc.)

I need to go as Hari from the original Solaris for a future Halloween. Taking applications for Kris.

Vielleicht ist das der Apfel für Schneewittchen. Ganz bestimmt der schönste Apfel, den ich je gesehen habe. Es handelt sich um die Sorte „Arkansas Black".

It is still #WeekWithoutDriving and here is what that could be like for you. Watching the sunrise and taking in the gorgeous scenery from a boat. 100% better than sitting in traffic.

Happy #weekwithoutdriving ! In some places this means taking a boat ride. :). This is 10,000 times better than the driving route.

Catching these little light shows and how they change over time is a reminder to seek out the good, even in the smaller quieter moments that haven't been warped by a manufactured social media addiction.

Sometimes happiness is a retaining in mental sovereignty and the joy is in the actual work.

New to me plant babies from one of my neighbor friends. The goal is to not eat the basil in one go and get this orchid to bloom.

A few gems from the aftermath of "I'm not going to wait 12 minutes for the bus to arrive, I'll just traverse across the city".

Accidental physics created art from a rearranging moment. My cousin brought these Mongolian royalty figurines back from her Peace Corps tour ages ago. Star Wars fans will notice that influence this Mongolian royal hairstyle had on the movies. #physics #caustics #art

Ditch your car for a boat ride to find some books in two small town bookstores within a curiously close distance to each other.

September 1st equates to cider season. If you have a chance to meet up with friends and make hyper local terroir forward cider, do it! Added bonus if there is a farm cat helping + a big bonfire in the evening. I have more photos w/ everyone there, but privacy matters. Ancient photos from 2010.

@whysharksmatter.bsky.social I found your book at a small town bookshop by the sea. Glad to see it in the wild and thank you for your work!
