Jimin wakes. The sunlight beams on his face, only filtered by the billow of the thin curtains of their living room. He could’ve sworn he fell asleep on Jeongguk’s chest, but that very warmth no longer shrouds him. Instead, as his eyes blink in that sleep-hazed way, he feels a hand on his stomach and Jeongguk’s voice whispering something hushed and sweet; the lullaby they always sing, one smile-laden and simply adoring. It takes Jimin a moment, but there beside him sits Jeongguk. He’s washed up, hair still damp and clad in little else but sweatpants, but his eyes rest on Jimin’s bump that’s carefully pried from his robe. Jimin feels Jeongguk’s palm, fingers soothing a delicate caress against him, and as Jeongguk leans closer to nuzzle and scent, Jimin’s heart flutters just as always, watching his alpha so doting. Jimin moves a hand to Jeongguk’s scalp, albeit still groggy from his sleep, and those same doe-eyes turn to him in fondness. Jeongguk kisses his skin now, one, two times before he retreats, sitting back on the cushions before he turns to the small coffee table beside them. “I made you breakfast; waffles. You said you were craving it the other day.” Jeongguk hums, his voice soft and gentle, and as he places the tray on the cushion beside Jimin, he can’t help but smile as Jimin yawns. “Sleep well?”
