I read Narnia #1 by C.S. Lewis!

A dissapointment. I know it's for a young audience but come on. Important scenes completely off-screened. So much telling and little showing. Not a single scene made me even a bit emotional. There are so many better kids' books out there.

Suosittelen👍

I read "Wolfsong" by TJ Klune!

What a heartfelt book! The protagonist is relatable and human, I love most of the characters so much. There could have been more worldbuilding, but it isn't the main focus, the main focus is the mc and all his relationships with wolf and human alike.

I read "Coraline" ny Neil Gaiman!

I chose this one to read to get into the Halloween mood. It is fine, completely serviceable for the target audience, great kid's horror book. But, rare for me to say, the movie is better.

I recommend if you haven't seen the movie ✌️

I read "Iron Widow" by Xiran Jay Zhao!

Enjoyed this one! Well-written and I love the worldbuilding. Protagonist can get a bit unlikable at times and the relationship evolution was a bit shaky here and there. So many reveals in the end. Can't wait to read the second part!

Hyvin horny.

I read Redwall #3 by Brian Jacques!

Enjoyed this much more than book #2. Love seeing familiar characters and the amount of new characters is not overwhelming. There are some very similar ideas to book #1, but it was still distinctive enough. Mattimeo did very little in this story.

I read "Fated Winds and Promising Seas" by Rose Black!

I wished for a cute queer adventure romance. I got like 100 pages of that, then the rest was too much plot crammed into too little space. I see the potential, I just wish this was a trilogy instead of one book.

Cannot recommend👎

I read The Murderbot Diaries #2 by Martha Wells!

Once again enjoyable, Murderbot still being the introverted agender ace icon it is. So relatable. Hoped a little bit more from the conclusion, I hope we still get to see more. Events from the first book are referenced multiple times.

Luin Timo Parvelan teoksen "Tiera"!

I read "Dracula" by Bram Stoker!

It was a bit of a struggle, the writing style of the time doesn't agree with me. I like the story and the central characters. Mina and Quincey my beloveds. I'd love to read a parody of this where the characters can't remember every single word said.

I read The Murderbot Diaries #1 by Martha Wells!

Something different and enjoyable! Murderbot is very relatable, the humor is nice and the story focuses on what's important. I only wish the book was longer so that we'd get to know the other characters better.

I read "Mistborn" by Brandon Sanderson!

What a great book! The world is interesting and gets a lot of building through the story, story rewards you for making theories as you read, and all the characters are lovable. Thats all good, but if I have to read one more ball chapter....

I read "The Godfather" by Mario Puzo!

Reading through this book was a breeze, a quick read even for me. Love seeing the mafia cogs turning, love Corleone family. Don't love all of the side characters who get a lot of focus, but they aren't too distracting.

I read "The Shadow of the Gods" by John Gwynne!

What a great book, amazing world building and (mostly) interesting characters who I want to see succeed. It also managed to make me emotional, which is rare. Left on a cliff hanger, can't wait to read the next part!

I read "The Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean M. Auel!

Very slow-paced story with heaps and heaps of world building, thoroughly explaining the nature, the rituals and the characters' thoughts. Seems like a lot of research was put into this book. Gets really depressing at times.

I read "Shadow and Bone" by Leigh Bardugo!

I enjoyed this one! The start is a bit heavy with a lot of unexplained vocabulary, and the story kinda lost my interest halfway in, but the last third was really gripping. Love the world building, can't wait to see where the story goes!

Day 47: Yesterday I crafted 40 stone tables and traveled to @shaakku.bsky.social 's island to sell them. And 4000 turnips. Made enough money to pay my last house loan! And figured out that you need to pay for the storage upgrades up front. Fiddlesticks. At least Mabel was at Brewster's this morning.

Day 42 part 2: This is how my cellar sounds like btw. The game doesn't let me see the gyroids making the sounds since they are so close to the ceiling. Also forgive me for horrible recording, I had no idea how Switch's recording feature worked.

Day 42: Wow it's been a hot minute since my last update. Nothing much has happened, but here goes. I made a turnip cellar. My house is in its place now (I need more trees). And I've been experimenting with the villager houses. I want them to have some yard but is this too much? Dunno.

Luin Timo Parvelan kirjan "Tuliterä"!

Tän kirjan huumori on 10/10. Mielenkiintoinen tarina, loppui ihan erilailla kun odotin. Ympäristöteemat ehkä hieman liian "in your face", tärkeä asia tietenkin, mutta olisin itse lähestynyt jollain toisella tavalla.

Day 33: Started terraforming today! I want to keep the general shape of the island, so I thought I wouldn't do that much terraforming, but I really like the thought of having my house in a valley. Check the map for my plans! This will take a while to make because I don't plan timetraveling at all.
