Now that I have a fancy new pinned post, take this, a two-page comic summary of Hellhound that was easier for me to make than trying to write out sentences lol
Two pages made as filler for the first printed issue of Hellhound that explain the concept -- basically a guy who screws up so badly he ends up trapped in a magical contract to be a guard dog for the city he lives in.

Hi there, I'm a professional Graphic Designer and I make a comic in my free-time. It's called Hellhound and it's just about a guy trying, and sometimes failing, to figure out life. Oh and he's a wizard, so there's magic and monsters and stuff.

The main character (John. No last name) in his Hellhound uniform of a black suit and black bird skull mask. He's using fighting magic and probably about to go kill something. A page from the first issue of Hellhound. It's in black and white because I hadn't figured out how to color it yet. There is a monster with lots of eyes and tentacles and teeth and John is trying to stop it from eating a crowd who are busy taking video of him with their phones last page of chapter 1 of Hellhound -- John is fighting ghouls in a cemetery. He's wearing the mask and suit and using magic. A page from chapter 2 of Hellhound. 9 panels of John freaking out because his clothes are wet and he has to leave. He uses a spell (probably modified that he's never used before but you don't get to know that yet) to dry it so he can get dressed.

it looks a little sparse but I have all my layers turned off so I can actually see what I'm doing (next page of my comic. Chapter 2 is up to 64 pages so far send help)

feast your eyes on this, my most terrible child. At some point in the night he got ahold of a bag of gooey butter cookies and chewed a big hole trying to get to them. He wasn't even successful. Now no one has gooey butter cookies.

This weeks Halloween flavored work fits. All chosen because I wear them all the time anyway because they’re summery fabric. Some of my stuff is def for fall and I will have to wait until it’s no longer 90 out there before I can be in true fall mode

Closeup of the comic page WIP I am picking at- it is in the “pencil” phase which means multi colored scribbles. The closeup features a figure on their back kicking a monster The action figure version of John I use as a drawing model balancing on the arm of the chair I’m drawing in on his back with on leg up like he’s kicked something in the face. The figure has a silicone “skin” over a metal skeleton so it poses and holds them pretty well

One of the reasons I draw digitally instead of on paper is I have always drawn too large for the space I have. I can’t not. This whole thing is too big! I have shrunk it multiple times and it’s still too big!! Luckily I also build in way more bleed than I need so I can shrink the page at the end
Comic page I am still trying to figure out. It has barely progressed from vague scribbles to less vague scribbles and all of it goes past the safety area so I am mad at it. It’s fine because I have a ton of extra bleed so I can shrink the art to fit the page after it’s done (I need to remember that when I letter tho or my text will be smaller than I want)

A comic page from Hellhound (my ongoing comic) - this is the first thing I did in 2025 The main character from Hellhound - John - in a black and gold dress, posing in a door or hallway. I was inspired by a show I watched called the Great British Sewing Bee - one of the contestants made this dress and I wanted to see it on John. I actually hate drawing him with his shirt off (and I did it twice this year! I'm ded now) because, not only is he covered in occult symbols, I haven't figured out what they are yet but it's my favorite thing I've drawn in forever A splash page from hellhound with the text boxes removed - John (the main and title character) is in a black suit and black bird mask using magic (he's a wizard). I had a lot of good compliments on this when I posted it so I think it was my most popular piece Oh look it's John again - he is all I draw now. BUT this is actually for DnD where I am punishing my friends by using him as my character. They are all sad now. In game he's in sweats and a t-shirt and an actual bathrobe with bunny slippers. This is because my whole group is my design department at work and we have been making stupid things like playing cards with our characters on it - this is John as the Jack, one hand is raised and has what could possibly be lightening that bisects the opposite image of him. The other hand has his usual "sword" which is just a yellow magic rod because that's all he can do - I finished this a couple days ago (I'm not totally happy with it and we haven't figured out what symbols we're using for the card suits yet so it's not totally finished)

ok it might be better. If nothing else I have finally gotten a coloring style I like and have more or less stuck with (also I've managed more than 100 pages of comic)

I don't even remember what was supposed to be happening in this comic. It was probably the fifth attempt at getting this story started and like all the rest, lasted a few pages before I quit. This is the closest to my current art style of anything else this old and older and was the direct predecessor to Hellhound White box with the words "Vs. Now!" A page from Hellhound - the comic I started in 2021 and have managed to keep with so far. Over 100 pages and still going. In this page John - the main character - is yelling at an unseen character in a room filled with blood. He is also admitting in narration panels that he has no idea what his job is supposed to be or what he's doing (which shouldn't really be surprising to the reader) and thinking about how he's getting blood on his shoes. This page is in full color done in my coloring style of "throw everything on the wall and see how it looks then leave it because why not"
