I’d say that @stephencolbert.bsky.social is (with the lone exception of @maddow.msnbc.com) the most brilliant, humane person I’ve encountered in broadcasting. His mind works faster than anyone else’s at a level of sophistication that is unmatchable. Genuinely a generational talent.

I'm only sorry it didn't happen sooner. But it's been seven spectacular, awe inspiring years. And I pray I can have many more years enjoying this new life.

You can do at 47 what you couldn't at 29. It just takes patience. Would have been better younger but that is life and I'm not sorry.
