The sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald is one of the most infamous maritime disasters in Great Lakes history. On November 10, 1975, the freighter ship sank in a storm on Lake Superior, killing all 29 crew members. The ship was carrying iron ore from Superior, Wisconsin, to Detroit, Michigan, sad 😢
