After Nearly 1000 miles of driving in two days, we have arrived on holiday. It’s remote, it’s blowing a gale and it’s changeable weather as always… but it’s glorious and this is the view we have for the next few days as we wake up. Holiday starts here!

Loving the garden this year. Busy time planting and landscaping… but just brilliant to see the results.

The holidays continue with a garden build. Framing for a pond, brick path and patio area with gravel outlines. Electrics next for lights and pond pump.

Day Two - installed a water butt in the garden. Need to add better drainage to supply it but hey… every little helps!

There are many worse places to stop for coffee! Reflecting on a week on Skye, it’s amazing how different the pace of life is up there. Absolutely love the highlands and north west of Scotland.

Long drive back today - Isle of Skye to East Yorkshire - 530 miles, 2 coffees, 1 light lunch, 4 play lists, 4 radio 2 presenters and one trip to M & S (well we ran out of milk). Great holiday!

This waterfall is broken… last day on Skye today but it’s been a great trip. Loads of photographs taken, some good food and met some great people.

Nice place to start the day. Good to see Bluesky seems to be an environment for sharing and collaboration. I’ll be posting as much about photography and music as I will about education - so here goes… Elgol Beach on Skye.
