Something tells me you would be ok with segregating jews
January 23, 2026 at 4:24 PM
Can't believe we're litigating if segregation had potential to be good
January 23, 2026 at 4:19 PM
You could say this about literally any group of people. Trans people should be segregated but hey its for their own good, jews should be separated but hey its for their own good. Segregation even if all funding is equal never would have worked.
January 23, 2026 at 4:19 PM
Throughout all of history separating people on immutable qualities has never worked. But hey you want to segregation wokely whatever the hell that means.
January 23, 2026 at 4:16 PM
The otherness that stemmed from segregation, look at the study that thurgood marshall brought up to scotus over black children chosing white dolls. Segregation negatively affected the self esteem of black children equal funding wouldn't fix nor would it fix political power imbalances
January 23, 2026 at 4:14 PM
Yes I understand that there were genuine fears over integration and how black students would be treated, looking at the little rock 9 is a great a example of this. And numerous black schools succeeded very well, but saying there should be separate spaces for black and white Americans is unequal.
January 23, 2026 at 4:12 PM
Woke means being aware of racial power systems that subjugated and discriminated on racial grounds. Segregation even if we submit that all funding will be equal will never translate into equal political rights or equal under the law
January 23, 2026 at 4:10 PM
Something tells me you aren't actually woke. And no the problem with separate but equal is that being separate is inherently unequal and causes its own discrimination, and power imbalances.

I feel like I can never name the protagonist something weird because it doesn't fit with the companions, but something like DQIII I can name everyone something weird and its a lot of fun

When Cashier passed his tombstone held his actual name even though his dead name was known at the time which is remarkable for the time period
January 18, 2026 at 11:51 PM
Imo all three are clear cut, but Barry's is especially. There's a good story with Cashier of when he was put in a hospital for dementia, was forced to wear women's clothing and fellow soldiers he served with was outraged.
January 18, 2026 at 11:50 PM
Some of it is because the whole "he lived before the term transgender was coined" which is lame. The wiki page for James barry and Allan Hart use he/him though. I really don't know why they dont for cashier
January 18, 2026 at 10:04 PM
Hell, this isn't unique for trans men look at the chevalier d'eon who people say she transitioned to escape her position and wasn't actually trans
January 18, 2026 at 8:53 PM
Albert cashier was an Irish immigrants who fought for the union during the Civil War. All three were trans men, but all three had people excusing their transness
January 18, 2026 at 8:51 PM
Allen heart invented a way to use x rays to spot early tb, people claimed that he was a cis lesbian who simply presented as a man to marry his wife. James barry was the second highest ranked medical officer in the british army and fought in crimea
January 18, 2026 at 8:50 PM
A significant amount did, but we have people saying trans men were cis, but just wanted to exist outside of oppression. This story was used on Allen heart, James barry, and Albert cashier

Yes if the republicans had respect for democracy he would have been gone day one, but they dont. If we had a parliament trump would be gone after the midterms
January 18, 2026 at 12:20 AM
Do you not know how a parliament works? Both times trump was impeached was by a democratic controlled house, a simple majority would be needed to remove him as a prime minister, this is easier than having 66 of the senate aswell
January 18, 2026 at 12:19 AM
If the us was a parliamentary system then both times trump was impeached he would have been removed from office, because that is how a parliament works
January 18, 2026 at 12:11 AM
Its better to have it be too easy than too difficult, maybe it should be harder than a normal parliamentary system, but the current requirements is too tough
January 18, 2026 at 12:01 AM
Yeah clinton was stupid, and republicans have no respect for democracy or else they would remove him, but the fact that none of trumps two impacts lead to removal is also evidence that it too difficult to remove a president, under a parliamentary system both impeachments would have worked
January 17, 2026 at 11:57 PM
The problem is that the impeachment method is too hard as it render it non existent. There have been 4 impeachments of presidents in us history and none resulted in removal from office.
Under parliamentary systems its much easier to change heads of state.
