I struggle with that sometimes.
Although i understand that it somewhat needs to guess what you are typing because the letters are very small.

That is indeed weird.
I mean, technically an OS doesn‘t delete things and just pretends the things arent there anymore before reusing that space.
But it should still tell you that space is freed up.
But if you don‘t get help here, the apple support is usually pretty useful.

Like cathures says, look at the distinction that it says „purgeable space“.
So it is occupied space but it is occupied with stuff that the OS would delete if you use up the remaining free space, just Photoshop wants actual free space.

If they have weird metadata, aka filesize etc, then they might just be corrupted. If the metadate is fine its more likely that its something else.

You can either transfer the file by sending it from your phone, for example a cloud or chat service, or access it via pc.
Android phones are usually pretty easy to access if given permission on the phone.
Just plug it in via cable and access the files in the folders and see if you can open it

I have had it with my iPhone that they switched fileformats and way of storing stuff.
Samsung also likes to just throw over their file system once in a while.
If you only tried it on your phone so far i would encourage you to have a look from your pc.

What sort of phone do you have and where is it unsupported?
