Today is the last day at our studio sale - so many talented folks all together with beautiful things! Mother's Day, Father's Day, Get Yourself a Little Something Day and Support Your Local Artist Day are all coming up! (So I made those last 2 up, but they SHOULD be a thing!)

Reinstalled my first alphabet art piece at the newly-renovated Saline District Library yesterday, with the friend who first helped me install it 20-some years ago! I picked it up last June as they were starting renovations, cleaned and cleaned it, conserved a few letters and she was RTG! #alphabet

Another of my wall sculptures in my new show at WSG Gallery in Ann Arbor...this is called Fissure, made from repurposed materials, except the nails. I make sculpture that creates dynamic shadows against the wall. I think of these shadows is drawings that happened because of the light interaction.

#mARTch #wood My 'Color Theory Alphabet' is made with repurposed wood and other repurposed materials. I started making alphabets when my son was learning letters many years ago. Just contemplating 'do I even remember how hard that was?' A couple of libraries own my alphabets. (Copyright VMann)

#februarty today is 'big and small'. Here's one of my wall-hung sculptures called 'Cooper's Hawk in Pursuit'. I wanted the Cooper's hawk to look just so focused and that little songbird to be having such a great, joyous last few seconds of flight. I'm a bird watcher/nature lover, if can be rough!

#februarty today is 'big and small'. Here's one of my wall-hung sculptures called 'Cooper's Hawk in Pursuit'. I wanted the Cooper's hawk to look just so focused and that little songbird to be having such a great, joyous last few seconds of flight. I'm a bird watcher/nature lover, if can be rough!
