China fucked up it's agriculture and killed a lot of Pepe through the cultural revolution, and then what? Kept the capitalists and fascists suppressed and uplifted nearly a billion people out of poverty while retaining economic and military sovereignty from the West.

People can grandstand about historical mistakes committed by communist governments, but what actually happened? The "Holodomor" occurred and then what? The USSR chugged along and improved the lives of hundreds of millions and supported global communism.

The era of socialists being terrified of power, of using authority, of forcing society to improve, needs to end. The enemy, fascists and liberals, don't play pretend with power. They will capture the state and kill whoever disagrees and then move on, because the survivors eventually get over it.

Politics isn't a game, it's not a popularity contest, it's not a field to wax poetic about virtues (while doing nothing else), it's not about being "superior." It's directing society towards the future according to the vision of those in power. If we want a better future, we need power.
