I swapped my phone to light mode recently, trying to get as much light as possible to make it easier to read without glasses while I'm fresh and adapting to these new eyes.

Most apps look really strange to me now 😊, but I do think it helps.

I've now had both #cataract surgeries as of yesterday. My list of notes for the blog post is quite lengthy, but I do want to give quick honorable mention to HOW AWESOME COMPUTER/PHONE SCREENS LOOK!

First eye surgery is set for this Thursday!

Cataract stuff all scheduled. Preparation and measurements in April, surgeries the first and last week of May.

Obviously the most important consequence of this is that I now have a temporary excuse not to start a gym membership, since I have to take it easy during May-June. 🏋️‍♀️

Second ophthalmologist of the day, third overall. This time went well so I'll be getting everything done there in the coming weeks.

My only complaint right now is: he explained dry eye to me and now I'm suffering in my own awareness... 😭

I continue to collect ophthalmologists. I had an appointment this morning, but she doesn't have experience with the specific lens I'm interested in. She gave me names for some other doctors in the area, and the first one I called has an opening this afternoon.

Got a very long overdue haircut today. The stylist mentioned the importance of moisturizing my curly hair, which was new to me. So I finally -- after years of having long hair -- decided to look into what's unique about curls vs straight hair.

I've been doing so much wrong...

It goes against my personality to be "window shopping" for cataract surgeons right now. I really want to just take the cute doctor I already met, but he doesn't offer the latest lenses. If I didn't have the daily annoyance of this busted eye I'd likely just sit still for months.

I must always remind myself after efficiently searching for and buying a product: to now be inundated with competing ads I no longer want implies that, while the companies may track my browsing, they don't know my actual purchases. Which is good.

Or that they're sneaky evil bastards who hate me.

I just bought tickets to a fan meeting for a pair of Thai actors/singers in Denver. I know what to expect from this kind of event, and it'll certainly be fun, but I'm also in a minority demographic compared to their typical fans.

Just over two years ago I suddenly noticed the vision in one of my eyes was blurry in bright lights. The optometrist didn't find anything wrong, and the glasses I got worked great for a while. But before the year was up things were blurry again.

So I'm trying to login to a charity donation site and update my account. They send me an email with a single-use link, but when I open said link they say it's already been used.

I'm guessing the automatic abuse protections on my email clients are doing a HEAD request on the link... Oof.

I added #YourSky to my favorites list after today's EP 5. Not because of any singularly fantastic scene, but after weeks of delivering sweet, funny, awkward romance. Thomas bounces perfectly between death stare and goofy grin. And now that he has permission to touch you, watch out Rak.

Had a first meeting with a psychiatrist to discuss anxiety and ADHD. She doesn't think ADHD is likely, since I didn't have trouble as a kid, but anxiety is pretty clearly an issue.

Which raises the question I hadn't considered: if not ADHD, what is interfering with my executive function?
