How is it a "european double standard" that a business does something that the vast majority of people disagree with? The Europeans don't want them or their money here. The businesses don't have a double standard either. They don't have a standard at all. Like any business.

There is no double standard. A lot if not all russians that are still here have given up russian citizenship to avoid sanctions. Also basically everyone i know hates rich corrupt russians coming to our countries. But businesses will take their money as businesses do

The most insane thing to me about it is that when putin invaded ukraine and sanctions started to roll out a large number of those russians gave up their russian citizenship to stay in western europe.
Also the corruption in russia means that there are more billionaires than before the war in russia

Honorable mention to the business dealings of his children. Though not him personally one of his kids is using trump and his name to open up a trump tower in belgrade for example. There are more of these but I can't think of them right now

The way it used to be explained to me (as a dutch person) is that the low bar is so you can get on a bike without being up-skirted. So low bar = women while high bar = standard. Gendered mountain bikes or sports bikes usually have a high bar for women as well

Funny story about the high bar, i once saw a dad kick his young child in the head because he went to get on his bike like he always did and didn't think about the child on the back. The kid was ok. it was kinda funny. Shoulda just used a step through bike like everyone else with someone on the back

It isn't actually illegal for trans people to use the correct bathroom. That wasn't actually ruled by the uk supreme court. But a bunch of transphobes have claimed the ruling means that and a bunch of other stuff. The only official thing is some non-binding guidelines put out by the government.

This is what happens to every russian and foreigner that volunteers in russia to do "non combative" roles. I feel bad for chinese men who can't hear about these things happening and being recruited as labour but get sent to the front. But a maga chud should have known.

It's the dumbest story out there. I have 0 sympathy for the guy. He volunteered to work for the russian army as a welder. He should have known he was gonna get 2 days training and go to the frontline. As russia has issues with casualties and replacing them. (Conscripts are not allowed at the front)

It works well enough that i can have it run a nas for several years without having to babysit it and thats enough for me honestly

In the netherlands we have "smart signals" they usually prioritize pedestrians and cyclists and measure if and how many cars are at a stoplight so if for instance there isn't a car pedestrians get green by default. There is more to it but i am always amazed at how so many places have dumb signals
