frame gen seems like a terrible idea for games that require precision timing in general. the entire principle of frame gen should be repulsive to anyone with a history of championing better framerates because its not actually solving that problem

i call it climate mandela effect. ive been watching for years as people who spent their whole lives living through winters where the snow never melted until march are acting like any and every snowstorm is an apocalyptic event and I feel like im losing my mind

right I just don't think that being bad at a video game requires you to think you're being some kind of burden and that it's not fair in casual situations to treat someone that way. its a game, its not 'impacting' anyone. if you're letting someone being bad get to you that much, you should step away

im saying if anyone can't find it in themselves to give someone, or themselves, the grace to let someone/themselves be bad while they learn or relearn, they probably need to step away for a bit before engaging with it again in a healthier way. its a hobby, it's supposed to be for fun and fulfillment

In the case of video games good endings are really the exception, not the rule, but there's still plenty of reasons to recommend many games with terrible endings to people. Don't know why the same can't be true for TV shows.
