another mourning devil
it’s halloween season! time to lean into the biomorphic aspect of my lovely angelic persona i’ve been wondering what kind of horns i’d actually run, but something about these like super tall curved ones are always my default. in real life they’d probably piss me off, lol. but they sure look cool… i hope the tint on the wings also reads well! i’m trying to evoke fallen angel rather than the pure white

There's a distorted picture that I took of a treeline in the background. Somewhere in there is a monarch butterfly. Otherwise, as stated, I wanted to emulate one of those breakcore album cover and whatever. I think i did pretty ok without resorting to absolutely annihilating any semblance of visual clarity! I think it'll make for a fun base down the line to distort further. just a closer crop since i'm sure the image compression here will be borderline lethal. it's ok. i don't mind.

Some dialogue from my 3 comics.
Devil's Trill: I actually have a lot of dialogue I'm already proud of in this one, but I chose this bit.
Knell: I think it's best lines will be later on but I liked this little exchange between Devere and Knell.
Daniel: Always liked this creepy dialogue from Daniel.
Panel 1- Florian gives an intense stare. Florian: What good is a soul if it stagnates, Mademoiselle Pierce? If a life of so-called "purity" had left it dull and corroded regardless, then why keep it? Panel 2- Florian clenches a fist and smirks. Florian: Either way... the song is a testament to the forbidden that I cannot resist. Panel 1 - Devere is putting on a black cloak as Knell observes him. Knell: Um... do you have to wear that all the time? Devere: No. Panel 2 - Devere is finishing putting it on by putting together the clasps at the front. Knell: Then why do you? It makes you look... a li'l scary. Devere: Good. A panel with a scary looking Daniel as he describes what it's like drinking human blood ('cause he's a vampire). Daniel: I take all their memories, their emotions, their very spirit, I take all of it into me. They cry and thrash about, trying to keep it, but I won't stop. I just drink up their misery, too.
