The case for proportional representation is undeniable.

CTV reports on how our democracy distorting voting system fuels regional divisions, and how proportional representation can fix it.

@mark-carney.bsky.social, will you champion a system where every vote truly counts?

Do you know why you vote the way you vote? Or maybe you don’t vote anymore at all? This election vote your values. Check out votecompass.cbc.ca to learn more about which party you most align with.

@ctvyourmorning.bsky.social it’s too bad we can’t trust you anymore to bring facts and honest reporting segments on political events into our homes. After the debacle with Rachel Gilmore you are no longer a trusted news source for me.

As a Green Party candidate I have to work 10 times as hard to get our message and values out there. #skpolitics #cdnpoli #fairnessinpolitics

Election2025 in Canada has started. Let the games begin!

As a Green Candidate in SK trying to convince voters that if they want real change flip flopping back and forth between red and blue may not be the best approach is definitely an uphill slog.

Woke up this morning thinking about how dangerous any religion is that demands conversion.

Wars are still being fought over the “right and wrong” of religious beliefs: abortion, 🏳️‍🌈, women’s rights, etc., etc.

POTUS used this anger to get elected and now is systematically destroying years of work.

Embracing diversity shows strength, humility, and integrity. Only weak, closed-minded people are unable to understand and learn from those who are different from them. And just because people do things differently than you, it doesn’t mean they are wrong and you are right. Beware of the binaries!

On the 80th anniversary of the Auschwitz-Birkenau liberation I am reflecting on a recent trip to Thailand. With an overwhelming majority of practicing buddhists, the belief in treating others how you would want to be treated is palpable there due to Karma, which keeps people from doing bad things.

Shareholders of corporations who require their CEO’s to do unspeakable things (or get fired) just so they make more money every quarter, should be on trial as well. #corporategreed #unethicalcapitalism

Democracy is a fairly young form of government and still evolving, we have much work to do to make it great, but the first step is to understand what is NOT working well and accept it. Rich white men with power may not be the best solution for all. And isn’t Democracy supposed to work for everyone?

No offence to my American friends and neighbour’s, BUT I will be boycotting your country (not visiting or buying anything “made in America”) for 4 years until you get your house in order! Just because… you know.

Incredible from Bishop Budde: "We don't have to go to the highest extremes of contempt when we are in a position of disagreement. I think if we could get that back as a country, we would go a long way in being able to work together to address the many problems that we face." ~AA @maddow.msnbc.com
