So we’re doing a Third Draft, which is my “Pretty Draft”. :)

I want to change up how Erebus expresses himself and fancy up his dialogue. Reason Three: Punch up Sera and Magnus. Their characters have more screen-time but need to be more present." And because I love her so much, here is Star. She passed away my last year of college and I had her since I was in 5th grade. She was an absolute sweetheart and never left my side when I had a particularly bad breakup. She barely spoke until she got older and wanted turkey. 🥹🩵🖤✨

This was a gut-wrenching exercise. Moral of the story, kid/teen you loves you and is super proud of you. Keeping doing incredible things. 🩵🩵🩵✨

I watched the truck disappear into the snow. As the weight in my stomach lifted from how well everything turned out, I scrubbed through my iPod for an old song I used to roller skate to. I remembered the rejection letters more vividly than the last time I used a drawing tablet. “No, you test them and your team thinks you do an amazing job.” Cautiously, I pulled up my laptop to show some of the projects I worked on. To my surprise, she’s overjoyed. Even for the soulless job that I quit. As it reveals the notable AAA title project, she squeals excitedly. I can’t help but chuckle. I tell her where she’ll end up and how she’ll love it every single day. My red phone catches her eye. “I can afford an iPhone?” “God, just barely.” I laugh. We ramble for a half hour about tech. I get nostalgic for the phone she has in her pocket. “I miss Myspace.” She says. “Dude, me too.” After sharing earbuds and dancing in our seats to our favorite music, she’s in a glow of euphoria. She’s never heard it before. But, I don’t expect it to accept it or fully understand it. Not right now. “You’ll find a really wonderful guy though. He and I have been dating for six years. You two have gone through a lot but you love each other. Marriage and a house is a little complicated right now, but you’re both hoping to be pet parents soon.” Her smile returns, warmed by the thought of someone loving her for that long and what type of dog she’ll have. I tell her that she will deal with the hardest obstacles she’s ever dealt with in her life. She’ll see things that nobody should ever see. That she’ll swear off pink for a long time due to trauma. But in the end, she’ll still survive and continue to love. While I can tell she’s scared by this, she nods and says “Well, I can deal with that as long as I have those other things, right? Several hours go by and I realize if I don’t let her go, we’ll talk forever. She calls her Dad on her cellphone. I walk with her out in the snow. Before she gets into the pickup truck, she turns to give me a hug. I hold her tightly.
