10 years ago I moved back to Seattle and joined up with some incredible people (many whom I'm still collaborating with) to protest Shell's arctic drilling. I was not brave enough to get in a kayak and try to block this monstrosity. Later that year Shell pulled out of the artic due to "risk."

Some days are rollie pollie, get dirty, kinda days.

I turned 44 a few days ago. Life is full of contradictions and one of them is the absolute beauty and love I'm experiencing while the govt is disappearing people (and many more terrors). Embrace the beauty, commit it to memory. It's the fuel of resistance.

So awesome to have the support of my Congresswoman Jayapal @jayapal.house.gov. She showed up today at the U-Village/Seattle #TeslaTakedown and gave a rousing speech and told us this movement is exactly what we need to stop fascism. It'll be posted on @troublemakers.bsky.social's page soon!

Two friends took me out to the opening game of the Seattle Mariners tonight. They won, 4-2, btw.

This is Rumeysa Ozturk. I feel chills looking at her, wondering where ICE has taken her. Since Elon's tweet about me I've feared getting picked up like her. But I (still) have some level of protection as a citizen. But for how long? Being here on a visa doesn't mean you have no rights.

Today, I'm back outside a Tesla showroom in Seattle w/ 500 of my friends.
