A somewhat familiar feeling. Also, why has the blonde hair on my legs now gone black and become more plentiful when all my once dark hair has either gone white or disappeared?
November 17, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Agreed. The one from my dishwasher was detatched and then disappeared and wine glasses can no longer safely be washed up in there 😳

Hi Kaci👋
November 17, 2025 at 3:09 PM
That’s the one. Some people are saying that it flooded because of blockages caused by fallen leaves but I have no idea if that’s true. A driveway coming down to the A40 just west of the town had turned on not a small river by Saturday am, so heavy was the rain, so maybe just the volume of water.

Morning Keri!

They did - not the River Usk, which for once stayed politely within its banks, but a couple of smaller tributaries, particularly the Cibi, which is normally channelled through the town centre in a culvert - it burst out of the culvert and flooded the town centre. Not as bad as Monmouth though.

I frequently find myself mentally correcting the ‘less’ and ‘fewer’ errors!

Enormity instead of size or scale. Confusing mitigates and militates. ( especially when what is meant is reduces). Personage instead of person.
I’ll add others as I come across them!
