I hope the book reacts better than earlier. As for why the Darkling wants her, it more than likely wants her because of her lineage. She is a descendent of the first family. Imagine that power in her lineage. A Darkling couldn't possibly turn that down. We'll dig into it. *Standing next to Chase*
