We refined the prompts, but I think the most important part was to have the feedback from the collaborating Roma-led associations. We also discussed the quality of the resulting images with participants when we were implementing a storytelling method.

We used Midjourney for it. It had several biases (Roma stereotypes), but after several trials and errors we managed to prompt some decent images.

Participants really enjoyed the activity: we used those images to do storytelling and design recommendations to face the challenges of the digital era.

Why AI-generated images? Iniatially, we planned to carry out a classic photovoice process 📷, but it was impossible for us to get participants to send us photographs. Considering the narratives of the future scenarios co-created in our first discussion forum, we prompted-engineered our way through it
