while it made her less alone and capable of taking on her impossible burden, it doesn’t stop the weight of that burden from being impossible and it all feels so real. like i’ve never felt so seen by a character’s relationship to their past self and parts and you know what im mad.

she dissociates from her past but instead of being obsessed with finding the truth or knowing exactly what happens, she lets what she still remembers guide her towards the path ahead, both for her own survival and the survival of others. her splitting her soul was necessary for her own survival but

i’m still so fucked up about this actually. tribbie is genuinely such a compassionate and understanding depiction of plurality, even if it’s through a fanstastical lens. the characters around her treat her parts with the dignity of individuals even if their origin is the same person
