Underhill is behind her trying to take the HRA from her. Emily’s face and fingers are covered in scars, her hands are bandaged. Her wedding band looks particularly bright. No one is wearing an HRA. On the wall behind them can be seen design plans for a cubical structure, on one of them it can be barely read “SARCOPHAGUS”. On the desk below there are a myriad of documents, folders and instruments, and a small framed picture of a couple wearing white suits. Captions: EMILY: FUCK OFF! No one is separating them until— UNDERHILL: Doctor, be careful with your hands. Panel 2: On the left, the group of researchers are standing still. On the center, Arish is angrily pointing at them, he’s wearing a full protective black armor. Underhill standing in front of him is holding the HRA she took from Emily. All five versions wearing a wedding band. This is the interdimensional hazard. And it needs to be contained. Panel 1: A room full of screens displaying feeds of a giant cubical chamber. Emily is standing in front of a control console while speaking into a walkie-talkie. Her left hand rests near a big red button. Underhill is looking at her, worried. Captions: EMILY: Arish, take your team and retreat half a mile past the firebreak and wait for countdown. Panel 2: Underhill holds Emily’s arm so she turns around and look at Dylan behind her. He’s sitting in front of a table, holding his face between his hands. On the wall behind Emily and Underhill, a huge screen shows the cubical structure sitting in an infinite black void. The other screens show a bridge leading to the structure, and red lights blinking across it. Captions: UNDERHILL: Emily, please. Allow me. Panel 3: Emily places a hand on Dylan’s shoulder, he looks up at her. She’s here to keep him company. Their hands are still bandaged and their faces still scarred. Behind them, on the console, Underhill moved to take Emily’s place. Captions: ARISH: We're at the safe zone now and waiting. UNDERHILL: Beginning countdown now. 10, 9, 8... Panel 4: Underhill has pushed the button. The screens show the bridge to the structure covered in smoke from explosions. The room is flooded with a blinding white light. On the foreground, Dylan is desperately hugging on to Emily, she embraces him back. Tears can be seen running down her scarred face. None of them are looking at the screens.
