When people are struggling to make a living, when families are faced with the question of whether we should buy lunch or pay the electricity bill at the end of the month, the government's task should not be to further restrict the fundamental right to freedom of the Hungarian people, but to find real solutions.
The slogan of this year's festival is "We are here (home)" [translators note: itt means here, itthon means home]
They tried a thousand different ways to silence, make invisible, intimidate and crush the LGBTQ community - without success. Our existence is as old as humanity: we have been here longer and will be here much longer than the politicians campaigning with exclusion.
There have been countless attempts to ban our march - they won't succeed this time either. Pride is a protest: if necessary, with twenty people, if needed, with tens of thousands , but it will happen.
