As if to reiterate yesterday’s OTD, exactly 10 years we travelled to #WantageTown in the @berksandbucksfa.bsky.social Cup winning 3-1 with goals from FC stalwarts Aston Goss, Gareth Price & a goal from Johnny Montgomery.

#TBT Fair to say, over years, promotion challenges have been few and far between. There have however been good cup runs including last year’s run to @berksandbucksfa.bsky.social Cup Final .

#OTD last year we beat #AFCWelwyn on penalties after a 2-2 draw on way to that final 🔵🟡

#TBT One of great features of the #nonleague pyramid is how quickly clubs can rise (and fall). Just 8 years ago we lost 4-1 at now National League North side Bedford Town.

That season Town finished just 8th, starting a climb through leagues only in 2022/23. 4 divisions now separate us 🟡🔵

#TBT to 17/18 when the Southern League 1 Central stretched all the way to Hampshire. Aylesbury FC went to #FleetTown and lost 0-2

We finished 21st that season But survived due to a reprieve. Fleet weren’t much better finishing one . and two places above us. 🟡🔵

#TBT to 2016/17 and Southern League 1st #AylesburyFC got a football lesson from Premier side #CheshamUtd losing 5-0 in QF of the County Cup.

We had beaten Chesham in the 2015/16 final 1-0 but this was cold, hard revenge #OTD 🟡🔵 🔴⚫️
