The mulberry dates from the 1670s when a mix walled orchard was planted. The #House in #Chiswik was built in the corner c1715 & the Hogarths took it over in 1749. A nearby WW2 bomb damaged the tree but experts from #Kew saved it - that is why it is wonky! Now propped with handsome carved supports.

I think you'll find that the mystery object is a ticket from the Isleworth toll gate on the Turnpike road. Almost identical tickets for the Brentford Gate are in the Prints & Drawings collection of the British Museum
