Big twelve TV ratings through week 12 of 2025. Viewers have lost interest in Colorado in conference play. For conference games only, top ratings are 1. TTECH up 75% from last year 2.6 mil ave., 2. BYU up 48% 2.11 ave 3. Iowa State 91% 2.09 ave. KSU, UT, CU next 1.79-1.6 ave.

If recruiting rankings metrics are predictive note the talent influx at BYU (and in Texas) compared to the current state for considering the future.

Unlikely but I think BYU needs a 3 loss Bama or Oklahoma or a 2 loss Oregon to possibly move up a spot. One or more of these upsets needs to happen:

BYU already has more total viewers of conference games 2/3 of the way through this season than they did all of last year. Also interests in Colorado has come back down to earth.

I’ve decided I’m collecting major magazine covers with BYU guys featured in BYU uniforms. That totals 3 in the last 35 years. I also add a signed sports card. Not sure the next one after this and SI cover is likely rare now.

Here are all the CFB games with over 1 million viewers so far this season from either rating measure. Note the Big 12 has 30/100 game though the distribution is later in general than the P2, ND with the top 2 games 14 and 23.

One of my favorite things about San Antonio is biking the mission trail visiting the 4 other non Alamo missions when it’s not hot. A good 2.5 hours of biking and exploring.

By Game 6 it appears Bear and Jake are the same quality of QB based on QBR. The upside for BYU is fantastic. BYU got to break in a new QB for the future with a higher ceiling and still went 5-0. The transition was a total blessing in disguise.
