Rough comic of Brook & Yorkie reunion in ‘Dead City,’ a place I made for my One Piece + Old Gods of Appalachia au that’s probably never getting finished. But I needed a place to put them so, happy #WIPWednesday + I’m thinking of writing a short (pls be short pls pls) fic with the same premise for el dia de los muertos, which I’m still deciding which way to make angsty. (Being together one day a year only or Brook going to Dead City bc he has two crews to find in the afterlife now). First part of the comic, a wide panel showing a vast city skyline at night. There are search lights (for advertising and aesthetics), and warning lights on top of the tallest buildings. The lit windows are all different shapes and meant to look like faces reminiscent of skulls or jack o’lanterns. A blimp flies overhead, piloted by a ghost, with a banner reading ‘DEAD CITY LIVE’. The lyrics “it’s a dead man’s party, who could ask for more?” are written at the bottom from Dead Man’s Party by Oingo Boingo Last half of the comic page. Brook walks into a saloon type establishment. His shadow falls at the feet of a man leaning against the bar, Yorkie. He says “Hello, Captain Yorkie” in greeting. Yorkie looks up, absolutely shocked, replying “B-Brook?!” but then he smiles very wide and happily in the last panel. The lyrics “Everybody’s comin’, leave your body at the door. Don’t run away, it’s only me,” are written at the top and down the right margin, from the song Dead Man’s Party by Oingo Boingo.

A snippet from my multi-chapter fic in progress where Zoro and Sanji are married and in their 40s. Zoro loses his memories and ability to make new ones under mysterious circumstances…. I got silly with this part because last chapter was really rough. Being on T gave me Luffy’s appetite lmao, so of course I inflicted that on Zoro. (don’t worry, he gets food).

Hand-written text in a notebook describing 40-year-old Zoro and Sanji bonding after defending their ship/restaurant/home. Zoro doesn’t quite have all the facts, because he’s been suffering from a straaange case of amnesia, but he’s determined to stay by Sanji’s side as long as he can (as long as his memory lets him).
