There wasn't any kind of response from the Pal at first. He eventually nods after a few minutes.

It's hard to tell because his stoic face, but it appears that he's willing to try anything in order to make this "conversation" work.

(I still have to get used to Bushi Noct because I am NOT vibing with the color palette. This one would be more fitting for a water subspecies if you made the flame blue.)

(The amount of souls I've used to boost his stats doesn't help either.)
