Noodle soup is a legit breakfast, imo. That is a statement writ broadly -- because it takes a lot of forms, from pho to wonton noodles to cheapass packet ramen (I'm bougie and doctor it with a few spices and things though)

For bonus points, a decent grinder helps -- I'm using a Kingrinder K6 manual crank grinder, which is inexpensive by grinder standards (about $100) but consistent. I'm able to tease out tasting notes, get clear, flavorful cups with no/minimal bitterness. You can always grind at the store/cafe though.

Total entry cost from nothing: about $85 (coffee + filters + grinder + kettle). High quality coffee with no plastic waste from K-cups. Bonus points: no picket lines involved. Learning to perfect my coffee at home has saved me money and time, and produced a fun hobby! (4/5)

It's all the convenience of a French press with none of the mess and minimal cleanup. You don't really need a temperature controlled kettle either - water 30 seconds off the boil will do just fine. (3/5)

A Clever dripper from Sable Brew. $40 USD, takes grocery store Melitta coffee filters, and the method is straightforward: put your ground coffee in the filter, pour water in (I go 12g water to 1g coffee, but ymmv), wait 3m 30s, then put on a mug to drain out through the filter. (2/5)

Also derived from Earthbound: All JRPG games should allow you to auto-win encounters if you massively overpower your enemies.

I'm going to try to talk more, not less, and share the things that give me life - both to uplift others, and for myself. Hold me to that.

Give me the coffee. I need it and you very much do not
