Often because companies do stupid things like grouping, say, laptops and laptop bags in the same category. Easier to get rid of accessories by sorting high-to-low.

Is that the font that Quintet used for their SNES games that I spy? I wasn't expecting to be reminded of something fairly niche from my childhood while doomscrolling. :P

Yeah, it was exactly that shape, just flipped horizontally. I know it wasn't one I needed to search for. :)

There were 21 in the one I played, but the right-facing one didn't count. :(

I presume that it was just pure RNG that the pattern filling in the rest of the puzzle happened to form a perfect (but mirrored) Amogus.

Of course!

I mostly agree with this, but I'd like to add that there are some issues with the very cheapest offerings from Sennheiser (eg. their headsets marketed for gaming are unfortunately trash). Their midrange and high-end stuff is great though, as is all AT stuff I've seen.

They're in the dishwasher right now and it's still running, but anything really flat and much larger than the portion size so even if it ends up at an angle it won't spill. Coles has/had some decent ones but my favourites were temporary ALDI ones that no longer exist. :(

After 12 years of chronic illness I have had pretty much everything in bed... not sure what's the weirdest, but I did buy some soup bowls specifically for their ability to not tip over or spill when sitting on a pillow / mattress. :)

Just don't start getting into modular synthesizers, too. Same issue, but even more expensive.

If your path ends up being at all similar to mine, you'll absolutely adjust in the end. It took me far longer to get into a good place than I would have liked (especially self-acceptance), but in the end life turned out pretty alright despite the crippling illness. Confident you can do the same. :)

Well, this thread is certainly relatable. Pictured is where I do most of my work these days... but the photo doesn't show that it was taken on a good day - normally I'm lying down instead of sitting up (also with the neck pain and numbness in my elbow from reclining on it).

Love the metal assassins. :) Yours looks great!

The art was worth a like anyway, but you also have a very cool name too. :D

That was the first metal mini I ever bought new from a shop when I was a kid, since I used to play as Dark Elves in the old Simtex/ Microprose game "Master of Magic". Back before they changed the lore to remove male sorcerers from Warhammer Fantasy.

Nothing beats having an actual real bell inside the phone either... which makes me wonder if anybody has made a bluetooth device that rings a bell when a mobile phone is called.

Watching it now! I guess I'm a bit older than the average Dropout viewer, because I'm extremely familiar with rotary phones. I used to use one instead of a touch-tone phone because the phone company apparently forgot to charge for them when they made calls. :)
