On a "good, great, excellent" measure of skill, I'm a good writer with rare flashes of greatness.

I found the most value in treating the AI like another writer at the table, rather than having it actually produce the prose. Which I published anyway; it's just an alpha. Screen attached.

Refactoring sprint is finally over. Feels good to delete this column on the roadmap, but I expected to be here in early August. I aim to have a live and working horror game by October 20th. It will be a "soft release" for only my friends and anyone in the discord, then I'll keep developing. #gamedev

Very pleased to be launching integrated forums for all GAM3 games! No separate sign-up, the player simply needs to set a nickname and they're ready to start reading and posting. Thanks to Flarum for providing this amazing forum experience, even if it was a bit rocky at times. #gamedev #webdev

Disappointed in Pokemon Sleep. All it took to lose most of my sleep data was me waking up 10 mins before my alarm, checking my phone, and groggily turning off the screen. When my alarm woke me, I returned to the game restarting and telling me it was connecting to the server to get my sleep data.

I need to fork someone's package I'm using to accept #svelte version 4... they're ignoring my pull request in which I tested it works.

Here's a wireframe of the crafting system vs. the final product. The final product is "base engine," meaning it's mostly unstyled until it's time for the final UI pass for the engine. The crafting system is, start to finish, the most complex piece of software I've ever built.

Wireframed this last night. I've had a long hobbyist career as a game dev, and this has left me with a few playable demos and prototypes on the course of making something commercially viable. The Lab allows access to these games. Coming 2024.
