Why bother with colonizing a planet of sniveling solids when I'll be the leader of the Great Link and have armies of loyal Vorta and Jem'Hadar at my disposal to conquer as many planets as I want?
Hypothetically, if your muse was offered the chance to board a starship and help colonise a new planet, would they accept the offer? Knowing it was a one-way and life changing decision?
