I’m not telling any child anything about their gender. I’m simply respecting the gender identity that they feel they truly are. 82% of trans kids have considered suicide and 40% have tried. I’d be careful about throwing claims of abuse around.

Are you a scarecrow? That’s a pretty straw man argument. By “move aside and let someone who can” do you mean yourself? If you can’t indulge your child’s imagination what makes you think you’re capable of helping a child navigate something as traumatic as gender dysmorphia?

Social justice is that everyone should have equal rights and opportunities. When those rights and opportunities are denied or infringed upon clear minded people have an obligation to speak out against said injustices. Not a White Savior, just common decency.

Really? I teach a lot of trans and non-binary kids and they would strongly disagree with you. When I have to explain to a classroom why bullying trans kids is wrong, I don’t see that as a welcoming environment.
