I thought the content of this video was already bad enough! Thank you for pointing that out! Wow! How old is this kid? 2? 3?

How will this be enforced. What is your response to Elie Mystal’s take on this in his recent article, “The Courts Can’t Stop the Trump-Musk Coup” in The Nation?

I’m so sorry to hear this. I learned so much from his theory and practice of ethnography. My condolences to all who were close to him.

This is getting really terrifying

OMG!

Exactly. The biggest story ignored for days while our data is poured into who knows what servers and AI software … by boys tossing flash drives around.

Totally. It’s like a dominant cultural practice where the expectation is to engage in more indirect communication so you can always hedge or deflect if you need to, rather than facing reality head on, which demands “too” direct a response. It’s patriarchal too: “don’t get too emotional, now…”

This is crazy. We can’t lawsuit our way out of this.

NYT is catering to those who don’t like to hear that something is racist, but are “ok” hearing that something “might” be racist: “Hmm, that’s very interesting, I hadn’t thought of that…” This keeps racism forever hypothetical instead of contending with it as a reality that is central to this Admin.

Yes. Agreed. And it’s still all of our problem to address. Because we are here. Because we have to do good. Because we can’t shrug off our collective survival and collective future.

There was a brief moment when NYT was brave regarding DT. I don’t expect much from them as a corporate mouthpiece, but this is the most flagrant burying of emergency news I have seen in a major newspaper. Chilling.
