Seriously though, there's so much meat on the bones of what this game did with its world building. The ideas around how synthetic humans are design, built and maintained are rich, beautiful and grim in ways that I can't easily explain on bsky.

Signalis by Rose Engine. SPACE LESBIANS! I flashed back to Resident Evil 2 a bunch during this game. It took a lot of my favorite RE2 gameplay elements and layered 90's cassette futurism aesthetic with cosmic horror. Thematically it succeeds where Westworld failed. A+ queer representation.

The Deep Dark by Lee Ostertag. It's queer horror that gave me "Sorry We're Closed" vibes at times- but more age appropriate for young adults. This is a graphic novel that does the medium justice. S+ queer representation.

First up: Brigands & Breadknives. I loved the first two books by Baldree, which introduced me to cozy fantasy. B&B continues playing in that space. I enjoyed Fern's POV and her companions were delightful. It's not a deep read, but I appreciate what it's aiming for. The queer representation gets a B.
