On a lighter note: sprusilla sweep. Pondering spike standing there limply after killing his mother, and drusilla comes along and tells him not to worry his poor little head over it. everyone dies... even vampires. everyone you love dies. but they're different, aren't they? yes... they're different.

--in her power to keep him safe and let him know that he was loved. I just don't think it's fair to say that because you have one main priority in life, that limits your ability to devote yourself to other things. Of course it does in a lot of cases but. Gestures vaguely. Rubs me the wrong way here.

First of all since when is there such a thing as giving up the slayer life. There's always the understanding that it's something you do until you die. Why does the show not consider it possible that she knew she had to put being a slayer first, but she still loved Wood and wanted to do everything--

Why did we turn Wood's big scene into one about Spike. This ain't about him. It's about both of them technically but dude.
I also deeply resent the idea that Nikki didn't love her son or loved him less because she didn't give up being a slayer for him. How the hell would that even work.

And it just makes you so unspeakably angry that he gets to act like a good person now and fight alongside the new slayer. You don't have anything against that new slayer but she just doesn't get it. She's defending a monster. He doesn't seem like a monster anymore, though.

And then you find the guy. And he's walking around wearing the coat he took off your mother's dead body. You can't remember her ever wearing it because you barely remember *her*, but there's a picture of her with it that her watcher showed you once.

That episode (first date) was so weird but oh my god principal wood the goat. I think he should have free reign to kill spike. Can you imagine growing up with the knowledge that you don't have a mother because of one vampire out there, but you don't know which one, so you just make it your mission--

That scene with Xander and Dawn was genuinely so hype. Peace and love for my key and my. I don't know how to describe Xander in one word but he's also a valued member of the team and he and Dawn are so sweet. Dawn collecting older brothers like pokemon cards

Friendship is so beautiful... I'm so pleased that Xander was the one to talk Willow down from all that. He's known her literally forever. And he loves her. Every aspect of her. And she loves him too. Not like that. But platonic love is just as powerful as romantic love and they stay winning forever.

Ah it occurred to me now what she meant by "one down". The other two guys in the trio need to start running. "They're in jail" that won't stop Willow, so it shouldn't stop them either.

One more thing: That "bored now" was chilling, considering that's what vampire Willow, the one with no soul, has as a catchphrase. I enjoy this season playing around with the ideas of people also being capable of immense evil, like the nonhuman monsters we've been seeing all along.
