People like AA, Bowie, etc., could come up with superb lyrics. & although some lyrics dealt with such things as “shaking one’s arse”, they somehow managed to do it poetically, with real grown up words! 😂

It’s a whole experience, now lost to most!

There’s a lot to be said about the feel of an LP, the unsleeving, careful handling, cleaning brush, lowering the stylus. The crackly anticipation of the first notes & then sitting, studying the sleeve, reading the notes & following the lyrics.

I just played the album of the Bridge School Benefit, with mostly acoustic set… They are superb arrangements.
