From my limited understanding AI is much worse due to the size and amount of data centers as well as the more complex computational loads which by itself uses more energy but also produces more heat which requires even more energy to counteract.

Yeah people are increasingly incapable of separating material/systemic analysis from personal identity. Personal belief should never supersede material reality. That's really all it is.

Obviously they can't do anything due to how other countries would react but the amount of shit the DPRK endures from South Korea is astounding. Not directly related to this but I like to suggest this documentary when DPRK/SK relations come up youtu.be/b_blPim4r-s?...

The sports entertainment company retiring their biggest star and literally ending with the line "wrestling has beaten sports entertainment" is definitely...a choice

I adore Kondo Toshiiro from Nihon Falcom for the obvious and immense love he has for the Kiseki series. He's just such a lil scamp and I love seeing a company president actually be involved in the work and there is such a noticeable difference in quality when he is.

I also always suggest people to try to look into their own cultural teachings because it was common among many people historically and there may have been a term your ancestors used but I know that can be hard for Americans since there's so much cultural separation and erosion.

I find the term "guide" to be a little better since there's less of a historical misrepresentation plus many cultures used spiritual guides. Or describing how exactly you interact with the animal (ie if it's emotional support "my heart animal").

The most appropriative part of "spirit animal" is 1) the idea that all natives people have this and 2) the ignorance towards ceremony involved. Cultures that have spirit animals/guides dont just pick them so without ceremony you can't have one.

Native spiritualist here. Obvs dont speak for all natives, but I was taught dreams are the realm of spirits and creation, so I would say you are welcome to use the spirit name. As for the animal I think describing it as a spiritual affinity like you did is appropriate. 1/2

While it isn't Marxist per se, I think knowing about Modern Monetary Theory is important because not only does it explain most modern currency and wealth, but it helps in understanding how capitalism has altered the idea of value in a way that directly benefits the ruling class

Even if the entire government were communist, I would still be critiquing. Ongoing critique is part of responsible civic practice. Idolization of political figures is weird and unproductive.
