Lucky guy, Kojima got to meet the star of Like a Dragon: Ishin.

I dont know, but how do I get the upper body of a barrel like our protag?

And yet, part of the game is to outspend your opponent. Since Kat's donations are smaller but more numerous, it speaks to her views representing a larger quantity of people. Someone donating $1000 dollars is still only a single vote, but 333 people donating 3 dollars is quite powerful.

Ah, after re-reading I missed your point. Larger donations aren't less valid, but larger donations in alot of campaigns typically come from corporate interests/ the wealthy. In a perfect world, there would be no finance tied to elections and the candidates would be chosen purely on policy.
October 20, 2025 at 11:01 PM
Maybe im missing something, but it's speaking to Kat's donor pool being largely funded by regular people donating what they can which tend to be smaller. Big business/ corporations/ wealthy tend to donate much larger amounts. Its not talking down those who spent 200+, just that there is an overlap.

Their new game Alabaster Dawn just dropped a demo on steam and it's fantastic.

Glad to see your numbers back up. I think we might have hit the ceiling of subscription value at this point. If gamepass is 30 in the US and people are quitting, what can change for the better? Making it cheaper or adding more games to the already 400 just devalues what is already on there more.

More people should be talking about The Power Fantasy, fantastic world building and lore.

I see they are apparel specific, but Olan Rogers, final space etc
July 22, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Ooo, is the game also attached to Star Cadet? Or are they just handling apparel? Either way looks great

Its not so much the difficulties in enforcing, more a headache could be saved by just playing along in all countries. See Australia with Steam refunds, EU with lootboxes.

From the sounds of it, the basic implementation of a game running without any external factors isn't outrageous. Even every live service game that you don't pay upfront for, would have versions of build that have to pass through multiple offline environments before reaching live.

Ending one side of the story on a climactic cliffhanger really makes the start of Abbys side feel dreadfully slow?
June 22, 2025 at 11:28 AM
I enjoyed the game as a whole, it's a marvel and I enjoyed the story. But my God the switch from Ellie to Abby is jarring. To reach what is (seemingly) a climax only to jump into the past made me take a break before finishing.

Opposite side of the world, but hey keep looking for villains.

"Games should cost the same as they did in the past" means everyone making the games aren't making a living wage.
May 23, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Cost of production has ballooned, so game prices for AAA games needs to increase. People should be paid increasingly more over the years to keep up with cost of living. That's not the peoples fault, that's a failing of everyone's respective governments and workplaces.
May 23, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Borderlands 4 is twice the dev cost of Borderlands 3, does that mean there is twice the amount of content and quality? Definitely not. If we subtract Randy from Gearbox does that mean the new game would cost as much as 3? Definitely not.
May 23, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Not what I said at all. I said cost of living for everyone has increased, which is leading to everything increasing in price. AAA Video games increasing in price by 10 and then another 10 USD in a short period isnt (purely) greed, its desperation to keep AAA production viable.
May 23, 2025 at 12:13 AM
It's almost like the sheer amount of time required, multiplied by the return needed for people to make even a basic living has increased.
May 22, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Quite right, so devs are striking out on their own and working in smaller and smaller teams. Why are alot of those failing? It's not a lack of quality. What could it be?
May 22, 2025 at 5:18 PM
It ain't just the big publishers and developers struggling. Everyone from Indies to mid size studios aren't doing well. No CEOs running them. They need to be paid a larger wage which comes from either a large success, or higher priced games.
May 22, 2025 at 12:51 PM
That's why people should be paid more to accommodate? Acting like inflation is a myth isn't really helping the developers and everyone under ceos needing to be paid a living wage.

Unfortunately, we are about to find out what expensive games will actually be with gta6 and the next generation.
