Addendum: he first said West Virginia a couple of times, then switched to Virginia. I doubt he knows the difference between the two states.

iPhone was a giant leap forward in user experience. It wasn't a massive technological leap, and it didn't succeed primarily because of marketing. It was easier and more enjoyable to use than previous smartphones. It got a lot of little things right, and each iteration was an improvement.
