in banjo-kazooie the notes are reset after exiting every stage because the cartridge didn't have enough memory to save every notes you collected

in banjo-kazooie the notes are reset after exiting every stage because the cartridge didn't have enough memory to save every notes you collected

I don't really like the recent trend for software to write a bunch of trash in %localappdata% instead of their local folder
it's not standardized, it's not managed by windows (as expected)
ideally each software should only be able to write in one place and the place gets nuked on uninstall by the os
