The praise for the "rigorously meritocratic" policies at Chinese universities, in contrast to the "political loyalty oaths" in the U.S., came after I had already decided the author hadn't really thought things through.

I already was asking about party unity, procedural tactics, and getting Schumer to fight at the beginning of the year. Warner's office sent a form response not really related to my email. It doesn't seem worth the effort to ask again.

Cantor's constituent services team was abysmal, from what I heard at the time. Kaine has been beloved locally in a way Cantor was not, so primarying Kaine won't be as easy as just finding a D version of David Brat.
