The environment is important for the future of sport because you can’t play certain sports in a damaged environment. The natural conditions determine what kinds of sports are possible and how often people can participate.

In many sports, aggression between players is treated like entertainment. Big hits, fights, and heated moments get replayed over and over by the media, almost like they’re part of the show. This creates a culture where violence feels normal — even celebrated — instead of questioned.

This is a great example of power in sport! It's interesting that there is a hierarchy seen even in localized high school sports and although it definitely would benefit your team I wonder how the teams who did not have power over the schedule felt.

chose Sarah Nurse because she challenges gender norms in hockey. She’s proven that women can be just as strong and skilled in a sport mostly seen as male. Her success and voice for equality are changing how people see women in hockey.

Using my sociological imagination, I can see that maintaining an active lifestyle with a full-time career is not only a personal choice, but also connected to structural opportunities and constraints in society.

For my own understanding I will say sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
