Similar to how Žižek described the omnipresent objective violence, Fanon demonstrates that decolonization inherently cannot be peaceful, as colonization is built on and from violence. Colonization is violence, and replacing it with decolonization requires violence (according to Fanon).

All in all, a fascinating, worthwhile read. Many of these ideas have stuck with me for the past 15 years since I first read it.
