I think most people in the world accept that climate change is an existential danger. Opinion surveys bear this out. The problem is that most people feel or are relatively powerless to effect meaningful change or are too terrified to accept the reality of it.

To be honest I don’t think traditional party politics is the answer. The only way we have out of the mess that our current system has been created is for everyone to work together. I don’t know how bad things need to get before this happens.

Climate change means more variable and unpredictable weather. Let’s hope it’s that, at least for the moment.

Spot on. Also absolutely essential to target jobs in renewable energy to communities which have most suffered the effects of deindustrialising and high unemployment. People need hope that they can influence and change things and the chance of a meaningful working life.
