Made my own take on the Bindicator project I've seen shared elsewhere. It's based on a Pi (of course), and scrapes the council's bin website.

It refreshes automatically once a day, or manually with the button, and on the night I need to take the bins out, it flashes and flaps the relevant bin.

Been a while since I posted here. Not car related I'm afraid. I played live music as part of a band today for the first time in five or six years. Went well, I've missed making nice sounds with other people. Now pondering the purchase of a MicroKorg...

My mum's had about 5 of them. The last one was rudely assailed by a tree limb last year- very probably saved her life. Clever seats too, fuel tank is under the front seats so very configurable. Soporific to drive, but very well thought out.

A friend a few years younger than me is visiting the Museum of Computing History today and sent me this picture. I think it might be a demarcation line between elder and younger millennial nerds that he chose the Windows 98 box to send rather than the fully operational BBC Domesday setup next to it!
