Seriously good work on all fronts. I spent a year in Morocco, mostly living with or among Moroccans (& am no expert ofc, & know little of Algeria) but the details, the ambience she evoked, & the anticolonial history she draws from for fictionalizing were 🔥.

And her craft, my god, is breathtaking

Same! I forgot my book when I flew cross country a while back (I never fly w/o a book) so I bought Anita in an airport bookstore (never buy books there) & almost finished it on the flight, so I bought Olga as soon as I got home & blazed through it too
