Prior to the FLX4 I had the DDJ 200; it was perfect for starting out and I think ~150. Although as I got better I wanted access to more effects on the controller itself, so moved to the FLX4 ( just so I can travel with it) but the DDJ 200 is super small and portable too so it’s perfect for that too

What is your price range? I think FLX 4 is pretty cheap in terms of getting something as close to a CDJ (which is used in the clubs)? Do you care if pioneer(Alpha Theta) is the brand?
