The Denbo Center for Humanities & the Arts (DCHA) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, supports advanced study of the arts & humanities, fosters interdisciplinary research, and advocates for the value of the arts & humanities in our world today.
The Denbo Center proudly supported five UT faculty and grad students at the Digital Humanities Summer Institute, held at Université de Montréal and organized by CRIHN. Attendees explored topics ranging from R programming to the cultural implications of AI.

We are thrilled to announce that Katharine Burnett will be joining the Denbo Center in July as Associate Director of Transdisciplinary Programs! In this role, she'll support the center’s research projects, coordinate events, and identify and develop new programming opportunities.

UT Parking & Transportation Services has updated the shuttle route between Cherokee Mills and campus, so that there is now a direct bus from the Denbo Center to Hodges Library and back.

Today we're bidding farewell to DCHA communications & marketing coordinator @klhkhistorian.bsky.social (PhD '15). She will be starting a new job as assistant director of communications at Rare Book School in Charlottesville, VA, in late January.

DCHA Faculty Fellow Salvador Bartera (Classics) has a visiting scholar residency at the American Academy in Rome, where the play he is editing was produced and staged, this December.
